Karen was raised in Northern Michigan & relocated to Naples, Florida in late 1984. She began her career in Financial Services in 1997 by entering the field of Mortgage Lending. Frustrated with how other companies were run & feeling that clients' needs were not always the priority, she opened her own Mortgage Brokerage business, Benchmark Home Mortgage, in 1999. Along with her business partner over the next 7 years, her business grew to 5 offices in Naples, Fort Myers & Germany & 40 employees. In 2006 she was expecting her second child & made what turned out to be a very good decision to sell her share of the company to her then two business partners. She continued to work with them until 2009. She took a few years thereafter to explore another branch of Financial Services, insurance. However, she never really felt at home in that arena.
Therefore, when the opportunity to join Best Interest Mortgage in 2014 appeared, she jumped at the chance. It was appealing to her, especially because their mission statement put simply is:

Best Interest Mortgage, coincidentally, was also established in 1999. She chose it due to the fact that it is a brokerage business as opposed to a lender.

After graduating college, she moved to Tampa, Florida where she worked for a software company, honing her skills on management & marketing. Jacque initially began working at the software company as the office receptionist & over the years, she traveled up the corporate ladder to General Manager of an innovative Development & Product Management team.
Jacque decided to leave her position at the software company & jump back into the mortgage world, but this time in Denver, Colorado! Jacque has expanded the Best Interest Mortgage name out to Colorado & her husband, Brian, is a prominent real estate agent!
